They all went to Vegas & partied with Supernova, or will that name be changed since the original band is suing?   When the return home they are hung over & found out the next performances will be unplugged & Gilby will play on ‘Sosbury Hill’.  They haven’t learned anything & only Dilana & Toby wanted it.  So Toby agreed to run through the yard naked & Dilana let him have it.  Also this week one slot was their own original.  Zayra & Ryan wanted that.  He finally relented after she said she is always in the bottom.

Dave couldn’t believe that they still didn’t fight to play with Gilby or that no one cared to do their original.  Jason said he is very underwhelmed by them.  Gilby really dug that Toby went all out to play w/ him.

Zayra went first with her original, ‘Lluina De Mar’.  She sang in spanish.  It was so not a rock song & sounded like everything else she sings.  Hated it as usual.  Dave congratulated on her for having the guts to fight for her song.  He thought it was terrific.  Tommy wasn’t sure that song was for them.  Gilby thought it was beautiful but wants her to do a rock song & show them she can do it.  She said she will show them whatever they want.  Bullshit cuz he has been saying that every week & we have yet to see it.  Jason said he loved it.

Magni did ‘Starman’.  I was bored.  I hated the song.  Tommy said he rocked it.  Gilby said he is solid & a good singer but he missed the opportunity to get the crowd singing along.  Jason asked about his clothes & Magni said this is the most dressed up he has ever been.

Patrice ruined ‘Message in a Bottle’.  What a trainwreck that was.  Dave liked that she took liberty at the end w/ the lyrics but thought her performance was lacking.  Gilby said she sang well but hoped she would be more original on that one.  Dave knows there is a helluva performer inside her.

Lukas did ‘Hero’ & I wasn’t impressed.  It was boring & sounded karaoke to me.  Dave loved his version & that he is always showing different characters.  Tommy hates when people sit down to sing.  Gilby liked it & said the falsetto was incredible.  Jason said last week he showed he could do it & now he was closed off again & won’t let him get away with it.

Storm totally changed up ‘I Will Survive’.  It was just yuck.  She changed the lyrics to try to sound tougher.  Dave said Marty & Dilana killed w/ their puss songs & hers didn’t work & he hated it.  Tommy said it was sautéed in wrong sauce & he wants his money back.  Gilby didn’t like it either.

Toby finally did ‘Solsbury Hill’ with Gilby.  I thought the song was too fast.  It wasn’t bad, but bored me.  Toby played the bongos at the end.  Dave said it was great he went the extra mile to get that song & thought he did a killer job.  Gilby said it was a different song & echoed the killer job.  Tommy said there is no questions about his commitment & that is what rock stars are all about.

Ryan did ‘In The Air Tonight’.  I didn’t like it at all.  My husband loves the drums on that song & in the key moment he was livid cuz the drummer went the wrong way & went up not down or something like that.  Dave thought it was vocally dramatic & intense & was the best of the night.  Gilby has enjoyed his transformation.  Jason said he is really changing it up a lot & really trying.

Dilana closed the night with ‘Cats in the Cradle’.  Her voice didn’t work for me on this song.  & she screwed up the lyrics.  Dave said he spoke too soon & that was the best of the night.  He got chills & said it was a great job & if his Dad wasn’t there he would be an emotional wreck.  Jason said it worked.  Gilby said her low register was strong & when it got high she knocked it out.

Patrice, Toby & Zayra were the bottom 3 at the end of the show.  I would switch Toby for Storm.
