The opening number was by Wade Robson & his wife Amanda & it was really cool. Next week the couples will do 2 dances.
Ashleigh & Jacob were safe. Karen & Kevin were in the Bottom 3. Adam said he isn't shocked & doesn't think they are either. He thinks they are 2 of the most poised & elegant dancers they have ever had on the show. This is their 2nd time in the bottom so they need to bring their A game to their solos.
Ellenore & Ryan were safe. So were Noelle & Russell. Channing & Victor were in the Bottom. Mary said they are consistent really good & thinks maybe the audience isn't connecting w/ them emotionally & that's why they're in the Bottom.
Kathryn & Legacy were safe. So that leaves Mollee & Nathan to round out the Bottom 3. Nigel is surprised they are in the Bottom this week but thinks it could be backlash for last week. He thinks their solos will be fantastic.
Karen was fricking awful in her solo but I didn't expect any more out of her. Last time she just stepped forward & back really fast. This time she kept spinning around. Sorry judges. This girl can't dance. She was the worst of the girls & Kevin was the worst of the guys in their solos.
Nigel said they saw things in the solos they've never seen before like Mollee's aerial cartwheel onto her knee. The judges were unanimous on both decisions. They base their decision on everything they know of them. Not the dance tonight. That can only change their mind but it didn't have any effect on them tonight.
The girls were up first. Nigel said Mollee proved she can dance like a woman & is safe. Nigel said this is about performance, not just technique. I knew at that moment he was keeping fugly Karen cuz they think she's so fucking great. He said Channing's technique is terrific but her personality isn't coming out. He thinks Karen is w/o question a performer & a star. So Channing is out. BULLSHIT! Channing said she will remember the people she met & how she loved each & every one of them.
The boys are up. Nigel thinks Nathan has learned a helluva lesson & proved he has ability & is safe. Victor had a strong solo but this is about more that pirouettes. Kevin always looks like he feels uncomfortable & this is about growth & he has a long way to go so Kevin was out. Well I was ½ right this week. I knew they would change Karen's partner to see if that is the problem cuz they can't fathom that their pet just flat out sucks. Kevin said he learned that if you put your mind to it you can do something.
