1 person leaves due to Mono.  Another hurt her knee in rehearsal.  & the judges cut 2 more.

Poor Billy.  He's the kid that made Adam cry & got punched in the face by his partner.  He has had to drop out of the show cuz he has Mono.  That's horrible.  & Noelle hurt her knee so they are going to give her one week to get better & her choreographer will dance w/ her partner this week.  & due to baseball, there is no elimination show so the judges get to kick 2 people off at the end of this one.  Yikes.  Ooh & before I forget, how aggravating is the beginning intros when the mic kicks in so we can hear the 3 tappers?  I get it already.  You haven't had a tapper on the show before & this season we luck out w/ THREE!  Be still my heart.  That was such an obnoxious sound.  It reminded me of the ignorant people at a movie theater that don't have the common sense to wait for a loud part to open their snack or whatever.

Channing & Phillip were up first w/ a Jive.  I thought it was a mess.  Adam thinks they are a very classy pairing.  He thought Phillip did a beautiful job & she was a surprise.  He noticed they both dropped character at one point.  Mary didn't think it was bad but wants to see more.  She thinks his legs got lazy but she was coming on towards the end.  Nigel expected Phillip to be good cuz of his style [tap] but he ran out of energy.  He thinks they need more chemistry.

Ashleigh & Jakob were up next w/ a Broadway routine by Tyce.  I thought it was good but he way outshined her.  Adam said Jakob set a standard of excellence but she didn't finish her lines.  Mary thought it was phenomenal.  She thinks Ashleigh is sexy & sultry & Jakob is perfect.  Nigel said he was surprised she made the Top 20 but Jakob is one of the most gifted they have ever had on the show.  He thinks Jakob is going to go a long way on the show & may take Ashleigh w/ him.

Arianna & Peter did a Hip Hop from Tabitha & Napoleon.  I am not fans of these choreographers at all so I don't know if they danced poorly or if it was the shitty choreography.  It wasn't the worst thing in the world but just didn't have any oomph.  Adam said it was a little rough but they are both talented.  Mary loved the beginning but the middle was sloppy.  Nigel didn't feel they ever found it but Peter got closer than her.

Noelle sat out while the choreographer did the Fox Trot w/ Russell.  I liked it.  This kid was totally out of his element but he pulled it off.  Adam said he continues to defy explanation.  He thought it was effortless & beautiful.  Mary said he has had to work w/ a new partner TWICE this week & thought he really did a respectable job.  She thinks he's going places.  Nigel said he is living proof of what he is always on a soap box preaching about, that the arts should be in the schools.  He didn't think Russell's rise & fall was good but his lines were.

Bianca & Victor lucked out & got a Travis contemporary piece.  I just adore this kid.  I like Benji too but Travis just wows me & I am always so excited when I see he is going to be on the show.  I thought it was a beautiful piece & these 2 did not do it justice.  Bianca just has a weird body or something.  She just doesn't look graceful.  I know it's not her style & all but I just thought she failed on this.  She is lucky she had Victor cuz if she had someone who this also wasn't their style I don't think she could have pulled it off.  Adam said she is at a disadvantage & needs to work on her shoulders & toes.  He thought this was Victor's dance.  Mary said she conquered & the passion sold her.  Victor took it to another level.  Nigel thought they were the most connected partners so far & will both grow.

Karen & Kevin did the Cha Cha.  It was just kind of there.  Not bad, not good.  Adam raved about Karen & said those who know him knows it's not really his thing [joking about being gay].  I didn't get it though.  I don't see her as hot at all.  Not that she's ugly.  Just nothing special.  & same goes for her dancing.  This is her style & she should have nailed it but it was just blah.  Adam thought it was a great job but the one part was slow & awkward.  I agree w/ that.  It was a through the arms thing.  I think Nigel said it was an unbent pretzel or something.  It was horrendous.  Mary said Karen is on the Hot Tamale Train & Kevin needs to work on his hip & leg action.  Nigel said he danced very well & then raved about Karen for a bit.

Ellenore & Ryan did a Contemporary piece by Sonya.  It was weird but in a good way.  Plus we got to see Ryan's chest.  I thought they both did a great job.  Adam said he wouldn't have put them in his top but they were 2 of the most exciting tonight & thought it was beautiful & unique.  Mary said their chemistry is just crazy.  He focused on her 100% & neither broke character.  Nigel enjoyed it & said Ryan took him by surprise.

Pauline & Brandon [he replaced Billy] got the Smooth Waltz.  I was like, ah, poor kid.  Is behind everyone else to begin w/ & then they give him one of the boring dances.  But my husband pointed out to me that the judges like the boring dances so it may help the kid.  & I actually liked it & I didn't see anything that would make you think the boy hasn't had as much time as everyone else.  Adam couldn't believe he only had a day & a half to learn the dance & thought there were some beautiful performance moments.  Mary thought it was really believable but he's not the best dancer.  She thought Pauline was eloquent & beautiful.  Nigel said it felt like a prom couple.  He thought their chemistry was lovely but doesn't think they are strong enough to last the whole season.

Kathryn & Legacy did a Hip Hop.  It was good.  I can't wait to see how Legacy does in other styles.  Adam said this was hot.  They met in the middle as it isn't either of their styles.  He thinks their chemistry is so fantastic.  Mary screeched "Yabba Dabba Doo" due to their caveman costumes.  She didn't think Legacy was capable of that & thought Kathryn was right on the money.  Nigel said Legacy brought this to life.  They have great chemistry & he looks forward to seeing them develop through the season.

Mollee & Nathan got a Disco & holy smoke, this was FAST!  I thought it was good but it was hard to follow cuz of the obnoxious lighting.  Adam said they are the most adorable couple & they already have fans.  He said they did some sexy lifts.  I'd say so.  One of them looked like Nathan was going down on her.  Or should I say up since he had her on his shoulders?  Mary said that was really hard & they pulled it off.  She thinks their charisma is off the charts.  Nigel said they bring fun to the competition.

Nigel said they are judging on everything they know about the dancers & not just on their performance tonight.  They chose Ariana, Brandon, Pauline & Russell to dance for their lives.  Each of them did a solo in their own style.  Nigel said the judges were unanimous in both cases.  But the girls were up first.  He said they are both amazing dancers.  Pauline dances w/ wonderful charisma but they want to see more passion.  Ariana is out.  Nigel said they would love to see more charisma from her.

Nigel told Russell they urge him to keep dancing & learning other styles.  Brandon was out.  Nigel said the rule is that if you make it into the Top 20 you can't compete there again but he is going to talk to FOX & see if he can get them to let him come in next season cuz he thinks he still needs room to grow.  Brandon said he would definitely come back & is glad he got to dance one last time.
