Megan Joy Corkery.  After last night, I love her.  The greatest exit in the history of this game show.  Can someone send Simon back to pre-school for a time out?

I hope Megan gets all kinds of non-porn offers because of this.

Never mind something I didn't notice, that on Tuesday night, Megan's brother, a guy named CJ, was in the audience, and when Kara DioGuardi trashed her, CJ yelled out "broken record!"  Which apparently really, really po'd Kara.  Poor Shemp might cry!

Ryan Seacrest, incredible tool that he is, unwittingly set the stage for all hell to break loose, especially after the smoke, the dancers, and Lady GaGa's eye patch cleared.  Believe it or not, I really like that song, "Poker Face", and Lady GaGa's performance, which was live, unlike David Cook's, was sensational, in my opinion.

That David Cook song has horrible lyrics, and I think he's trying way too hard to sound like a grunge rocker on that one.

When Seacrust read the result that Megan was about to get the boot, he repeated Simon's comments about her song on Tuesday.  When he asked Megan to comment, she said, "I Love You Simon, But I Don't Care." This was after, knowing that she was the likely boot, she made goo goo eyes at the camera, feigning upset, and flapped her imaginary wings and went "Caw, Caw" as she walked to the Seal.  And got Allison You Rock Heta to also say "Caw, Caw", and asked Anoop to do it too -- but he chickened out.

Simon took the whole thing the wrong way, and he is getting slammed to pieces for saying that because she didn't care, they weren't even going to deliberate on the save, that her sing out was her swan song.  Simon has been a total jerk this season.  He thought she meant that she didn't care about being on the show anymore, or worse, the big baby got all lathered up because a contestant dared to say that the Emperor Has No Clothes.  Simon frequently calls the contestants indulgent -- but last night he had the ultimate pot: kettle moment. 

Paula Abdul is wiping the floor with Simon this season.  Never mind her "Legato" comment or comparing Glamberace with Mick Jagger and Steven Tyler.  Simon overhyped Gokey; single handedly got Michael Sarver into the Top 13; had nothing good to say about Allison's incredible Motown performance because he was drawing a lame moustache on Paula, acting like a 6 year-old, and then concentrated on her look this week; and then Tuesday night trashed The Fray, claiming that their hit song "You Found Me" was not a good commercial song.

So then Megan sang the living sh** out of that Bob Marley song, worlds better than the night before, and went right up to the Stooge table where she sang and danced.  She flipped the bird to the Stooges and especially Simon but good.

Then she thanked everyone who worked on the show, the band, and especially the other contestants, many of whom seem to have bonded  -- Allison couldn't let go of Megan, and Kris and Anoop were crying!

But then, Megan proved she was no joke when she said to her son, "mama is coming home", and burst into tears.  So did I.  Notice that as soon as Seacrust signed off, Paula literally ran onto the stage and hugged Megan.  They better not replace Paula.  She's stoned and drunk a lot, but she is having her finest season, bar none.

Megan Joy Corkery is not only an excellent singer, at least in the studio, she's smart, and she has integrity.

She wouldn't let the Stooges get to her, and she refused to beg them to use the "Save" when she knew there was no chance.  She went after that d***wad Simon and let him have it right between the eyes.

However, there are reports that backstage, after the show, Simon was very nice to her.  No kidding.  He probably had his tail between his legs.

This Season is shaping up to be one of the best ones, but only if the Final Three is not Deadwife, Shrill, and Glamberace (Glamberace being the only one who belongs in the Final Three).

It was a great exit, that ended in a poignant, very human way.

Caw!  Caw!  Megan.  And show them what a great singer you are on the tour.
