The last 2 stops were NYC & San Juan Puerto Rico.  I thought it was sweet of Simon when the 1^st girl sucked it so hard & had said she quit her job for him to call her boss & get her job back.

Let's go to Puerto Rico 1^st.  Jorge Nunez sang ‘My Way' in Spanish & the judges wanted to hear his English so he did ‘What a Wonderful World'.  Kara said she felt more when he sang in Spanish.  Randy loved him & they all said yes.

Monique Garcia Torres brought her little brother in w/ her.  They were both adorable & charming.  He gave the judges a present.  1 shell to share between them.    She sang ‘You Can't Hurry Love' & the judges wanted to hear her other song so she did ‘'I Turn to You'.  Simon said she should pick a song more in her range.  Kara said she's not fully developed.  Simon said it was very old-fashioned & cabaret.  Randy & Kara said no but Paula said yes & so did Simon & he overrules them so Monique is off to Hollywood.

Patricia Lewis Roman's parents got married in that very hotel.  She sang ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody'.  Simon said it wasn't good enough & a difficult song to sing.  Kara said she could sing & they had her do one song in Spanish.  Paula said no.  Randy said yes.  We didn't see how the other 2 voted but she came out w/ a golden ticket.

9 people made it through in Puerto Rico.  Now we move on to NYC.  Melinda Camille wants to uplift humanity.  She enjoys dancing naked.  She sang ‘Feeling Good'.  Simon said she's a happy little thing.  Randy said she has a nice voice.  Kara liked her & said she is a vitamin boost.  They all said yes.

Jackie Tohn came in w/ her guitar but as we know from the crybaby, she didn't get to play it.  She did ‘I'm Yours' & they asked her to do another song & I don't know what that was.  Randy liked her tone.  Kara likes her & wants to see what she would do next time.  At that moment some plastic thing that covered the windows came crashing down.  Everyone said yes.

Simon was instantly annoyed by Nick Mitchell cuz you knew he was being goofy & Simon doesn't want to waste his time.  He sang ‘And I Am Telling You' & wasn't half bad even though the guy was being a jokester.   They let him sing his second song, ‘Amazing Grace'.  He sat on a chair to act more serious.  The guy was a riot & even got Simon laughing.  But he still said no to Hollywood.  The other judges sent him through though.

A quick flash of Ashley Hollister, Kenny Hoffpauer & Kendall Beard making it through, not sure where they auditioned though & that's that.  26 people made it in NYC to add to the 9 from Puerto Rico, 13 in SLC, 16 in FLA, 27 in KC, 19 in Louisville, 12 in SF & 27 in AZ.  That brings the grand total to 149.  I heard somewhere that 147 make it so either my math is off, which is totally possible cuz I SUCK at math, or 2 people drop out for whatever reason.  Or I head wrong.  Next week the Hollywood Round begins.
