Julie talked w/ Producer Allison Grodner about the new cast. She asked who stands out to her. Allison said they have an amazing group of Houesguests this year. They are so diverse age-wise, background, all of that. Personality. Julie asked from what age to what age. Allison said 22 – 75. A 22yo bodybuilder to a 75yo great-grandfather.
We meet Jerry, 75. He said he is a very focused person & very competitive even at his age physically & mentally. Allison said one of the more poignant things about him is his wife was recently diagnosed w/ Parkinson’s & Jerry lnows that he is going to be the primary caregiver in the house. He’s kept himself fit so he can take care of her. Julie asked if they can just give him the money now & then laughed & said that’s not fair. Allison said it is going to be hard cuz she thinks people are really going to like him. Who is going to be the person who wants to vote out this man? Jerry tells us he is going to be a player in the game. He will tell us this, CBS will get their money from him.
Dan is 24 & tells us going into the house if you have any kind of strategy he thinks is kind of presumptuous & stupid. Allison tells us Dan is a Catholic school teacher from Michigan & he really doesn’t think women are equal & he felt really strongly about the possibility that Hillary Clinton could become President. He said he would leave the country & was dead serious about that. Dan tells us his only concern is that Barrack Obama is wildly charismatic & has a huge aura around him & if you are not very educated you may vote for him cuz he is more charismatic. Oh goodie. I got my 1st bible banger to hate & the show hasn’t even started.
Libra, 31, tells us she is a Barrack Supporter hands down. Allison said she is the rebel Mom & has strong opinions. Very liberal. She is the Obama girl in Bush country.
Steven, 35, is a gay rodeo cowboy that rides bulls. Steven tells us he is very flirty & as long as it doesn’t scare the straight men off he will be a big flirt & tease.
Julie asked who will be the eye candy for the men. Allison said they have some feisty beautiful women in the house. There’s Keesha, 29, who is a Hooter’s Girl. Keesha tells us she will do whatever it takes to win cuz she’s only getting 1 chance at this. Allison said there is also April, 30, who is smart & also a little quirky & got a bit of a bit of O.C.D. April tells us she does have OCD & wouldn’t say she has it a little, she has it very much.
Julie asked who is the eye candy for the women. Allison said there’s Jesse the 22yo bodybuilder newly to the big city from Iowa. She thinks he will be a little doe eyed in the BB house & catch him off guard. Jesse tells us his humor can break down the barrier of his physique if that makes sense. He said he’s very intimidating so people say but he doesn’t think so.

April graduated from Doane College in Crete, NE with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports and Fitness Management. She is currently working as a Financial Manager at a car dealership and does well in this "man's world".
She admits to being OCD and can't sleep at night if the bottles in the refrigerator aren't lined up properly.
April's mother has always been there for her though they do have occasional differences of opinion. She describes her father as her "rock" and says he is her number one supporter. She has an identical twin sister, who is pregnant, and both have the same tattoo on their lower backs. Her favorite foods are carb-laden and include pasta, bread and Fruit Loops cereal. Her ideal romantic partner is fun, outgoing, adventurous, caring, patient, understanding, motivated and smart and she wonders if wanting all of these qualities is the reason she has yet to marry. She likes football and basketball and roots for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Phoenix Suns. Her favorite activities are watching sports, grilling outside, bowling and having sex. Her favorite movies are "Dumb & Dumber," Remember the Titans" and "Crash." She loves all types of music and her favorite artists are Dave Mathews, Madonna and Gwen Stefani. She reads Cosmo and particularly likes to read gossip magazines.

He went to Central State, Rochester Institute of Technology and Penn State and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Management ten years later. Before then, he spent four years in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1954. He has been a devoted husband to the same woman for 54 years, and stays physically fit so he can take care of her as she has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Jerry has two children, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He feels he has an excellent marriage and attributes a good marriage to allowing your partner their own space.
Jerry worked for 38 years in a sales/marketing environment and retired as a general manager at a multi-million dollar sales and marketing organization. He describes himself as being very competitive and says that being number one has been a driving force in his life. He likes to play golf and shoot pool and watches basketball, baseball, tennis and golf. He volunteers at an abandoned animal rescue, serves as a property manager, enjoys playing cards and working out at the gym. His favorite movie is "The Ten Commandments" and he listens to big band music, rock and roll and Elvis Presley. The perfect day for him is one where he is in touch with his family.
The political office he'd most like to hold is that of President of the United States which he thinks of as the most challenging. His heroes are those who serve in the military and he believes they deserve credit for the fact that we live in a free society. He describes himself as liking to touch, being fair and considerate.
