Who danced the best tonight & who did the judges say did?

They did something totally different.  This time they all did a Cha Cha but it wasn't the same choreography.  There was a beginning, middle & end.  When they all practiced together it was no surprise to me that Ringer & Mark cheated & just watched everyone else's routine & conveniently hadn't finished choreographing theirs.  I thought everyone did a good job.  Edyta seemed to falter a little going into a spin.  At the end Jason & Cristian picked Ringer up high above their heads.

Len said Cristian has great hips & gave a 9.  Bruno said he has shown improvement & gave a 9.  Carrie Ann said it was fantastic & had great energy but his injury affects his posture & gave an 8 = 26.

Len said Jason has elegance & style but Latin is not his thing & gave an 8.  Bruno said he is very athletic but went a bit off & gave an 8.  Carrie Ann said this is his hardest dance but thinks he carried it off & gave an 8 = 24.

Len said Ringer has the technique & is the total package & gave a 10.  Bruno said she is in a class of her own & gave a 10.  Carrie Ann said she won that hands down & gave a 10 = 30. 

Then it was time for their freestyles.  Ringer & Mark were up first.  He brought Julianne in to help teach Ringer the lifts.  I know the judges think Ringer shits sunshine but I thought this was very awkward & the timing seemed off.  She seemed scared to death to do the lifts & would do this weird pause & it just threw the whole thing off.  Just a mediocre dance to me but not to the judges of course.  Bruno called her "Miss Synchronicity" & said she didn't miss a beat [even though she missed a ton] & is worthy of the championship & overscored w/ a 10.  Carrie Ann said she was the big crowd pleaser & she loved it & gave her an overscored 10 as well.  Len said it held his attention from start to finish & he loved it & overscored her w/ a 10 = 30.  Overall = 60.

Edyta brought in Jason's wife & kids to motivate him.  At the end of the dance Edyta ripped Jason's shirt off.  I liked this dance way better than Ringer's but it still wasn't the best championship dance I've seen.  Carrie Ann said it was a nice ending & she thinks it's nice to see Edyta in the finals.  She said who knew Jason could get funky & they had the most ambitious lifts she's every seen yet gave a 9.  Len said the lifts were fantastic & gave a 9.  Bruno said if you got it flaunt it & Jason & Edyta do & gave a 9 = 27.  Overall = 51.

Cheryl brought her trophy into rehearsal to motivate Cristian.  I thought they had the best dance of the night.  Len loved the Latin American flavor but his lifts aren't up to the standards as the others due to his injury so way underscores w/ an 8.  Bryno said for 1 arm he did bloody well & gave a 9.  Carrie Ann said it didn't compare to Ringer [yeah, it was miles better] but he never gave up & gave a 9 = 26.  Overall = 52.

I wanted to vote for Edyta as she has never won but thought Cheryl & Cristian outdanced them tonight so all 15 of my votes went for Cristian & Cheryl even though the judges really want Ringer so I feel no one else has a fair chance.  But I gave it a shot.  Usher will perform 2 songs on the finale so make sure you TiVo it so you can FF through it.  All the couples will be back to dance & the kid champion will be crowned.
