Saleisha was glad she was still in the running and confessed her desire not to be in the bottom 2 again. Janet had about 30 seconds of coverage where she was portrayed as “house mom”. Heather became a judge and told everyone around her about their problems. When asked to describe her own, she piped up and talked about poor body image. Next we heard Ambreal singing and she revealed her musical theater studies at Howard University. Lisa told the camera that she over-analyzed everything and needed to lighten up a bit by relaxing. Some of the ladies thought she was insecure.

At Cali Gymnastics, the model wannabees learned from Benny Ninja how to pose with movement on a trampoline. The only one “perfect” per Benny was Chantal. After practicing at the gym, they went to IceOPlex where the challenge was to pose on ice in the air with Olympic medalist Lloyd Eisner. They had to emulate emotions of joy, sorrow, fear and anger. Ann Shoket, an editor from Seventeen Magazine, and Dani Evans, ANTM cycle 6 winner, were the judges along side Benny. Lisa portrayed sorrow and won because she had so much energy it radiated all over. She got to pick “2 friends” to join Dani in an education themed photo shoot for Seventeen Magazine. She chose Janet and Ebony.

Tattle tale Saleisha told Lisa about some of the girls not wanting her around, but someone else commented on how well Lisa took photos. I still don't like Saleisha's page boy/bowl haircut. Lisa was bothered at first, but somewhat brushed it off her shoulders. The next scene was TYRA MAIL (yippee) that said “when you're on top, never look down...” Ambreal started to freak out because she was afraid of heights, but said she'd do whatever it took to get the job done. We got some foreshadowing mid-episode when Janet was on camera yet again saying that she had to concentrate on her angles in photos and improve. Mike Rosenthal, guest photographer, worked with high fashion gargoyles on top of a sky scraper. Another weird high fashion concept (what else is new). Jay didn't think Janet could get it on her own and he loved Ebony even though he compared her to dull dishwater as she casually walked up to the platform.

The girls were judged by Tyra, Nigel Barker, Miss J. Alexander, Twiggy and Benny Ninja. Ebony took great photos, but was asked if she ever smiled. Chantal received good comments about her legs and was told her photo was not raunchy despite the outfit and pose. Ambreal was described as twisty and robot-like. The judges didn't see Sarah as a gargoyle. Bianca was told had the best photo of the bunch. Tyra was emotionally invested and told her she had a very strong face. Janet had bad angles (yeah – I saw that comment coming) and was told to let go of the little details. For goodness sake, the girl's undies were showing in the pose she was told to do and she didn't know about photo touching with Photoshop. Lisa was praised highly for winning the challenge and having a great body shape in her best photo plus she had an intense face. Heather actually received some negative comments this week and was told she needed to get out of her comfort zone by looking straight into the camera. Miss J. Alexander said she could be America's Next Profile Model. We're talking a DOUBLE knee slapper here, folks. Jenah was seen as very beautiful, but was advised to come to panel more polished. She was good in the photos using her body well. Saleisha looked more high fashion this week, but somewhat hip hop.

Based on the negative and positive comments by the judges, here's my “basic” grouping of who rose to the top and who fell to the bottom. TOP: Ebony, Chantal, Bianca, Lisa, Jenah and Saleisha. BOTTOM: Ambreal, Sarah, Janet and Heather. Tyra gave photos to Lisa, Bianca, Ebony (who actually smiled), Chantal, Jenah, Saleisha, Heather, Sarah and lastly Ambreal. Janet (Liza Minelli's look-alike) got dropped because she needed too much coaching even though she was considered to be a beautiful and striking woman (not model).
