13 ladies are at the beginning of their "green" journey with Tyra, the fearless bio-leader.

13 girls strutted their stuff into the California Market Center where they were greeted by Jay. He welcomed them to downtown Los Angeles in the fashion district. He lead them outside to see the green-mobile where Tyra was pushing environmentalism. I wonder if this means Hollywood types will catch on and arrive at red carpet events in bio-friendly vehicles instead of stretch limos?

The first drop off was their beautiful home with panoramic vistas of downtown LA. It was so breathtaking that later we saw sweet, innocent Chantal crying at the night lights. She was so fortunate to be there and was totally impressed. We also saw Tyra and Jaslene's photos plastered on the walls. The girls were ecstatic about their new "green" home and couldn't wait to take a dip in the pool. Some of them jumped right in fully clothed while others sported bikinis. Heather, the gal with aspergers, quietly retreated indoors avoiding prolonged social exposure.

Next was several girls in the bathtub preserving water and then we cut to a "mock elimination session" (almost literally) of the last 2 girls without photos. Of course the 2 girls were Bianca and Lisa, and Bianca was given the last photo. Bianca had a serious problem with Lisa, the exotic dancer, winning the title of America's Next Top Model this cycle. Give me a break - Lisa is NOT a stripper and should not be portrayed as such. She dances fully clothed for goodness sake! At this point in the game, I hope Lisa makes it much farther than Bianca. Later in the show Bianca ripped into Lisa yet again. Lisa cried and didn't lash back at Bianca. Jay told them to work it out and figure out how to get along.

The photo shoot was all about the horrible effects of smoking. A composite of two shots, one beautiful and the other nasty, was the work of the day. Ambreal had bloody lips having to do with lung cancer. Jenah was bald after chemo. Mila was all giggly and wanted to have fun. She couldn't get serious as a hair loss victim from chemo. Janet was a burn victim. Chantal had incredible bedroom eyes and her reflection was someone with a tracheotomy hole. Ewwww! Heather and Saleisha were chosen to work together as victims of second hand smoke. They didn't connect with each other, but the judges loved them any way. Kimberly was over confident and had a sunken face. Sarah was not focused and portrayed premature aging. Victoria wore maternity clothes and was shown with a stillborn baby [doll]. Ebony had a collapsed lung and her wide apart legs were not pretty. Thank goodness Jay corrected her. Bianca hated cigs like Jay and had a nasty case of extreme gingivitis in the photo shoot. Lisa had a beautiful leg up and showed a face tumor. She was well connected to emotion, Jay commented.

Heather finally decided to join some of the ladies in the hot tub. She explained aspergers syndrome to the best of her ability, but I wonder if the other girls really understood. Some of them seemed like they were a few fries short of a happy meal! [side note ... that's why AMBER from BB8 would do really well on ANTM ... the lights are on, but nobody's home] Bianca and Lisa also apologized to each other in the hot tub. Yeah right - we'll see where that goes into the upcoming weeks.

At Old Navy, heavily accessorized Benny Ninja told the 13 they had 10 minutes to pick a basic outfit. This was their contest and had to impress the judges later that day. They showed a clip of Benny from the last cycle (8) teaching the girls how to handle laser beams like the movie Entrapment. The girls picked up hats, shades, shoes, tops, pants, dresses, skirts, necklaces, earrings, bags and more. They destroyed the store in a very short time, but it looked like they had fun.

The next segment was the catty girls talking behind Heather's back. None of them were trying to be mean; they were merely expressing their opinions in a belittling way where Heather was not around to defend herself. Watch Heather make it to the final 3. Wouldn't that be ironic? Heather cried to her mom on the phone, but her mom encouraged her to keep on truckin'!

The 13 finalists met the judges: Nigel Barker, MISS J. Alexander and Twiggy. What's up with "MISS" for J. Alexander? Is he a she? I guess that's what male divas are called. My mother always told me you learn something new every day. Tyra mentioned the prize package for the winner this cycle: (1) Modeling contract with Elite Model Management; (2) Cover on Seventeen Magazine as well as a six page spread; and (3) $100,000 contract with Covergirl Cosmetics. The Old Navy challenge winner was Saleisha. She was the "least worst" dressed and didn't get drowned out by accessories. She won a $1000 Old Navy shopping spree and would be in an Old Navy ad too. The judges were brutal with most of the ladies in their clothing and accessory choices.

The judges were on the fence for a lot of the girls, but I tried to group them into who was more on the positive side and negative side. In my opinion, the judges (somewhat) liked Chantal, Ambreal, Saleisha, Kimberly, Ebony, Sarah, Lisa, Victoria, Heather and Bianca. They disliked Janet, Mila and Jenah to an extent. Ebony could've been in that group as well since she was one of the last two before the final photo was given out. Tyra gave photos to Heather, Lisa, Chantal, Sarah, Jenah, Saleisha, Ambreal, Victoria, Janet, Kimberly, Bianca and Ebony. Mila was cut because she was "just" a pretty, pretty girl, but was perceived as not absorbing anything from her critique by the judges. One down, eleven to go...
