One of Jonathon’s stylists is late but his client is already there. Jonathon is cutting a girl’s hair & dropping the name “Eric Dane” as his friend that was just on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ as “McSteamy”. Rosie tattles on the stylist to Jonathon. The stylist, Michael, has been with Jonathon for 8 years. When he finally comes in Jonathon reads him the riot act about being late even though I don’t think Jonathon has ever been on time for anything. The guy tells Jonathon he was late cuz he was getting a massage. Jonathon can’t believe it. He tells him to never be late again. Michael is just as arrogant as his boss & says that he can’t guarantee that cuz he was born late. Jonathon asked why he is always late & Michael said cuz he is fantastic. Jonathon says he reminds him of himself when he was that age.
Next stop is to cast 4 girls for his Product commercial he is about to shoot. They also slid in a plug for the website. The commercial people were not impressed with Jonathon thinking he is in control but they play the game & let him think he is more in control when he really isn’t. Any girl the others likes, Jonathon didn’t & he chose the girls the others didn’t. He just likes to be contrary I think.
We get a quick segment of him being home with Sescie & Ash. She has Ash in a shirt that says “I’m a Jonathon Product”. Jonathon is the typical annoying adult in that when he talks to a baby his voice gets all high-pitched.
Then he is off to shoot his commercial. He is really excited & compares it to doing a movie. Of course he was late & everyone else was pissed. But in Jonathon’s world it is do as I say, not as I do. He called the director “Boss” & says he has a good feeling about him. He was really nervous & flubbed a lot of lines. Production was getting madder by the minute cuz they are now 2 hours behind & if they go past sunset it is going to add at least 50 grand to the already $100,000 bill. Sescie shows up & tells someone she wants another baby cuz she wants a girl. She will try 2 more times & if she doesn’t get one she will stop there.
Jonathon Diva is in full force now when he asks to see a take. The director tells him they don’t have time for that & it isn’t necessary. He basically storms off to talk to his people & throws a hissy that he wants to see one. They stroke him & tell him not to worry cuz he is doing great. Jonathon isn’t happy but finishes the shoot. He made some comment about how would he know he didn’t look stupid & another guy said look in the mirror & Jonathon told him to caution how he addresses him. What a jerkoff.
The next storyline had him going back to the Beauty School he went to to talk to the students. He was greeted by a girl he went to school with & she is now an instructor. Jonathon was typical him & tells them he does perfect hair. He doesn’t think he is the best in the world but firmly believes there is no one better cuz he knows everything about hair. He got a tour & saw what he says was his old locker. He says he was the black sheep at school & it took him 3 days to do his first cut but he never let up.
Then Jonathon had a Senator’s hair to do, Michelle Fishback. Her husband got her the cut as a gift. Jonathon was happy cuz she was Republican & he says he is a Democrat. She was charged $500 for the cut & $200 for the color.
Jonathon meets all his product people, his manager & Rosie. He tells them he has been thinking of opening a half dozen more shops. They are all happy & kiss his ass & suggest London, Chicago, New York & Miami. He says he would like to call them “Jonathon Product Salon & Spa”. Then they reminisce about the season & stroke his ego while we see flashbacks. Jonathon surprises them with a screening of the commercial. His parents, Sescie & Ash were also there. While watching someone complimented the model’s hair & Jonathon said that tears him up when people say “wow, look at that hair”.
Last stop is the Therapist for more reminiscing & clips. He says he always thinks if he wants something done right he has to do it himself. He doesn’t know what he would do without Sescie cuz she is his rock. He is starting to feel like what it is supposed to feel like to have enough. But he doesn’t want to stop.
Next week in its slot is ‘Salon Diaries’ with that guy that Jonathon fired in the first season that had all the tattoos like Jonathon.
