Do they think their cab not showing up cost them The Race?

Fran looked awesome in the studio. Harry admitted that he was a little disappointed that they didn’t get farther in the Race. He asked what it was like when they got to the mat & said hello to Phil. Barry said they were sad. They are competitors & hate to lose.

Harry said they were so smart at this point when before they got on the ferry & called ahead for a cab. That was a good strategic move. When they get off the ferry, what happens? Fran said they had bad luck. There was only one cab there & it was for Joseph. Theirs was not there. Harry said it was very tight in the competition. Did that knock them out of the competition? Fran said they believe it did. Yo & Ray were able to run to the prison. Harry & Barry laughed & Barry said they can’t run like that. Fran said they actually commandeered a bus. They stopped it. It wasn’t going that way & a half block later it said they would take them. Harry said how cute is that? Barry said he was so nice & came back & picked them up.

Harry said they are world travelers & know they have been to more than 40 different countries. How does that compare to racing around the world? Barry said racing is much more difficult than traveling cuz when you travel you can go at your own pace & when you are racing, you are racing.

Harry talked about Fran bungee jumping. He asked didn’t they agree if there was bungee jumping that it wouldn’t be Fran? Barry said they had agreed he would do water & bungee & she would do anything else. They misread the clue. Fran said it was so rushed to read the rest of the clue & hadn’t read bungee yet. She said she’d do it & then thought she would die when she read the rest of the clue. Harry said his heat was missing beats as she was getting ready to do that cuz he thought she would just turnaround & say forget about it. Fran said never.

Harry said one of the other great scenes was when they were on the bridge & couldn’t find the clue box & the camera shots were so great showing them right by it & everyone else finding it. They kept walking past. Barry said they kept walking past & then started thinking maybe it was on a building or down below so they started looking. Fran said they went in a church & a store.

Harry asked how much age played a part of their success & then their inability to get to the end. Fran said she feels age didn’t matter what they did. They just played their game & was right there. They feel badly the taxi didn’t show up cuz they were right there.

Harry said last night at the beginning the Hippies needed money & they gave them some. Any regrets? Barry said no regrets whatsoever. Throughout the Race they helped each other. They didn’t have a real alliance but they helped each other & feel good about giving them the money. Harry said we sure enjoyed watching them play the Race & they represent people of a certain age. Fran said she hopes so & Barry thanked him.
