Is he mad at Terry for not giving him the Idol? Why did he tell everyone he was faking weakness at the last TC?

Julie said it was surprisingly last night watching him get the boot. Was he as surprised as the viewers? Austin said no. He thought it was a brilliant job in the editing department. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion he was going. He & Danielle had created a good bond on Exile Island. Austin thinks Bruce was always vacillating & always on the verge of coming over but never quite did. They knew going into to Tribal Council that Danielle was not coming over to their side. Obviously he knew Terry didn’t give him the Idol so he knew he was going before the vote went down.
Julie asked when did he realize his buddy Terry had the Immunity Idol & shouldn’t he have given it to him & basically stab him in the back. Austin said he definitely didn’t stab him in the back at all. He didn’t find out he had the Idol until an hour & a half before Tribal Council & he had had it all of those days & they weren’t aware of it. Julie asked why he didn’t give it to him & why didn’t Austin go to him & say he needed it. Austin said as you saw he did go to him & asked for it but Terry thought for his game he needed it. He doesn’t feel betrayed but feels disappointed. He thinks strategically Terry could have made a better move on his part by giving him the Idol. They could have gotten Aras eliminated & thinks that team would have completely fractured at that point. But that is all hindsight & hindsight is 20/ 20. Julie asked if the tables were turned would he have given it to Terry. Austin likes to believe he would have. He thinks strategically it was the best decision but when all is said & done, Terry is the winner of the Idol & it is up to him what he wanted to do with it.
The secret scene was Austin on Exile Island. He tells us that he wanted to make a forgery to make it look like he had the Hidden Idol. He had the amulet he won in the first reward challenge in his bag. So he took a scepter looking rod & wrapped it around it to make it look like the Idol. He wanted Danielle to see & think he found it. He thinks his scheme is brilliant but it is eating him up inside & believes he has found the point where he found out what he is not willing to do for a million dollars so he isn’t going through with it.
Julie asked if he regrets his decision. Austin said he doesn’t. He prides himself on being honest & there was a lot of vacillation out there trying to negotiate that line of integrity & advancing himself in the game. While you’re out there the relationships you make are so intense that you feel any think slightly duplicitous will be so magnified. He doesn’t think it would be such a bad thing for him to use that. He doesn’t think it was the most dishonest thing in the history of the world but at the same time he walked out of there without having to lie & kept his integrity.
Julie asked why Aras called him a slimeball. Austin said that was rough wasn’t it? Julie said she thought so. Austin said Aras is a good guy. Like he said, everything is so intense out there. He said Aras is a sharp guy & thinks he felt outfoxed by that maneuver he had pulled & wanted to point out that he was playing that game pretty cleverly. & the reason he pulled that ultimate bonehead move, probably the stupidest move in ‘Survivor’, announcing his plan at Tribal Council is that he was totally convinced he was going home cuz Aras had told him he was, which he guesses is just as dishonest as him getting off the pole. It was eating him up inside. He came into the game saying he was not going to lie. He is pretty much subscribes to the belief lying can buy you advancement in this world but it doesn’t buy you respect. When all is said & done he tries to live his everyday life by that & wanted to live like that on ‘Survivor’ & that is why he announced his plan.
