Jonathon works Sundance & then helps his sister Robin select the next Pussycat Doll.

Jonathon’s manager Rob Lee calls about a promoter from Sundance wanting Jonathon to come work a booth & pass out his product. Jonathon goes on & on about how great this is & actually see his ego inflating. Jonathon agrees to do it & then tells his assistant Clarissa that she will be going with him. He tells her that Sundance is bigger than The Oscars. Yeah it is so big that it’s creator, Robert Redford, is now disgusted with how corporate it has become & the last nail for him was Paris Hilton was there.
Next call from Rob is that designer Chris Nolan wants Jonathon to do his models’ hair for NYC Fashion week. Jonathon hems & haws a little & acts like he is just too busy. Rob tells him that Chris doesn’t want the typical runway hair & wants Jonathon to do what he wants. SOLD!
Jonathon heads to Sundance & gets asked for his autograph by a little girl. He sets up his booth & lies & says it nauseates him to have to have this huge poster of him hanging up behind him. The promoter kept asking if he was done & that was annoying Jonathon cuz no one puts baby in a corner. He then finds out that Marlee Matlin is there & would like Jonathon to do her hair for her premiere. Marlee has had the same interpreter for a long time & I have to tell you, I just love this guy. I don’t know what it is but he just seems so cool & fun. As does Marlee. Before Jonathon does her hair, he stops in a booth that people could record children’s books on a cd. He does ‘Hickory Dickory Dock’ & then does a version I have never heard of. Maybe it is a regional thing. I am in Chicago & I was raised with “Itsy Bitsy Spider”. Jonathon said “Eentsie Weentsie Spider”. He tried to sing it & said it didn’t sound right. Well yeah. Those are the wrong words & you have to have rain & again rhyme. He did a 2nd take on it & then in typical Jonathon style, he chokes up thinking about his son.
He heads to do “movie star hair” & Clarissa does Marlee’s friend’s hair. Jonathon didn’t have a mirror in front of him while doing it & when done he does a drastic reveal for the girls. The ego gets bigger when he talks about doing Academy Award Winner hair & how that “validates him”.
He goes back to the booth but tells us he is thinking about the snow, or “fresh pow pow” as he likes to say. So he leaves Clarissa in charge & heads off with Rob Lee to snowboard.
They go back to LA & we are introduced to stylist Nikki who tells us her dad was a stylist & she went with Jonathon last year to NY Fashion Week. So is this setting us up for future drama? Will she not be asked this year? That is all we see of her. Jonathon cuts some girl’s hair & he can’t believe it is her 30th Bday. His sister Robin shows up & asked him to come help her judge the auditions for the Pussycat Dolls that are tomorrow from 9am – 4pm. Jonathon immediately picks up the phone & tells someone to move all his appointments tomorrow until he gets back cuz he is going to help his sister. He tells us he doesn’t HAVE to help her. He GETS to.
Robin wants his “dude perspective”. The room was filled with girls in their undies. The trashier the better for Pussycat Dolls. Robin gives her brother credit for helping her create the look for PCD. He then points out that he helped create the look for PCD. Um, yeah. She said that Mr Ego. The girls are taught a routine to the PCD hit “Dontchu”. I girl’s boobies popped out of her bra & had to be pixilated. After dancing the girls sang ‘Amazing Grace’. Most were so so. One girl did her original song about a sugar daddy. She seemed like a complete imbecile. The last girl we heard was phenomenal. She gave me goosebumps. Once they choose the finalists to return the next day, Jonathon said he was out & breakdanced his way across the floor. He was leaving the final choice up to them cuz he said he had his own stuff to handle.
While doing hair he got a call from Robin. He wanted to know who won & she said it was a surprise. The girl would have to fly to Vegas tonight & she wanted to bring her to Jonathon first to do her hair. Jonathon loves the PCD song he had to listen to all day yesterday so even downloaded it to his song & played it over & over. The girl chosen was Cindy, Jonathon’s favorite. He added extensions in her hair & then danced with his downloaded song on his cellphone down the hall with her when done.
Next week is NYC Fashion Week. A bunch of photographers are taking Jonathon’s picture while he is working & it pisses him off & he says they are rude & then tells them to turn the camera off.
