Teams Synergy & Gold Rush have to sell Sam's Club memberships.

18 new candidates begin the 15-week hiring process to work for Trump. Anyone else bored by his attacks on Martha? You so know he did it to promote his show since it has been dropping in the ratings & has been moved to Mondays. & Martha didn’t even say anything bad. She said she thought that she was going to fire Trump in her 1st show cuz he didn’t want to do it anymore. Mark Burnett confirms this. Trump is just an idiot.
So he, George & Carolyn meet the newbies on his plane so he can brag about it. He selected Tarek to be a PM cuz he is a member of Mensa. Allie was chosen cuz she went to Wharton & so did Trump. Allie chose Andrea, Brent, Michael, Pepi, Roxanne, Sean, Stacy & Tammy for her team. Brent was picked last. Brent suggested their name be “Killer Extinct” but no one likes that. They went with ‘Synergy’.
Tarek named his team ‘Gold Rush’. He chose Bryce, Charmaine, Dan, Lee, Lenny, Leslie, Summer & Theresa. The task was to sell memberships for Sam’s Club by using a blimp to advertise.
Brent threw out a bunch of suggestions like karaoke & makeovers to get people in. Allie didn’t like those but did like Tammy’s idea of massages. She made Brent ride in the blimp & he was pissed cuz he thinks it’s a waste of his talents. Michael was really good at selling & Sean had the girls eating out of his hand cuz of his British accent. George thought they had a good strategy of having their tables set up front & being friendly.
Summer brags about having a restaurant so Tarek assigns her the task of calling restaurants to get them to come. She only calls ONE. She said she didn’t call anymore cuz she didn’t have a hook. Charmaine had no idea why Summer wasn’t more successful. [Probably cuz she didn’t even try.] Tarek put Lenny in the blimp cuz he is from the area. Summer was also put there cuz he didn’t have any confidence in her. The only thing Gold Rush had going on was giving out empty totebags to the 1st 485 people in the store. Carolyn questioned if they were only giving them to people signing up but no. It was to everybody. Carolyn’s idea was better. Leslie, Theresa & Lee were doing most of the selling. Lee was in a suit to stand out.
Trump asked Lee in the Boardroom why he was in the suit & if his team all agreed that he wouldn’t wear the uniform. Both PM’s thought they did a great job & would be surprised if they lost. Summer tells Trump she would have changed some things. Gold Rush sold 40 memberships & Synergy just beat them w/ 43. So Synergy got to have lunch w/ Trump at the Wharton Club.
Most of Gold Rush say Summer should go. Lee said he doesn’t like talking negatively behind someone’s back. He blames the loss on the PM. Summer talks to Lenny & he tells her she will probably end up in the Boardroom & thinks there is a chance he will go too cuz he did less work since he was in the blimp. He told her she needs to be quiet in the Boardroom.
Tarek tells Lee he won’t be bringing him back but he needs his help & he will just set himself up as a target if he says he would do things differently. Back in the Boardroom Tarek says he takes responsibility but they lost cuz of 2 people not executing, Summer & Lenny. Lenny said he was assigned to ride in the blimp. Lee said they lost cuz of a severe lack of mismanagement & they didn’t do anything creative. Theresa tattles on Summer for not making the calls she bragged she could do. Summer said you don’t make those calls during dinner rush. Tarek chose Summer, Lenny & LEE to go back w/ him.
Carolyn told Trump that Tarek led the team well & Summer should have made the calls. George said Trump picked Tarek, he didn’t volunteer so that is different. He also thinks Summer should’ve made the calls.
They come back in & Lee & Tarek argue. Lee was upset that Tarek told him he wouldn’t bring him back in but does after he said Tarek should be fired. Well duh! I would have brought in the guy too. Lee thinks Tarek is unintelligent. Tarek said Lenny didn’t step up. George pointed out that Lenny knew the area & was put on the blimp & did his job. Trump asked if they failed cuz of Tarek. Carolyn asked Summer what she contributed. Summer said she did things people can’t see, like she knew the product. A lot of good that does in the blimp. Carolyn said she has asked 3 times & hasn’t gotten a real answer. Summer again says product knowledge. Lenny said he would be disappointed if Summer was fired cuz she is a strong woman. George pointed out how they gave away a bag w/ nothing in it. Trump was reaming Tarek when Summer attempted to interrupt him. That pissed Trump off & couldn’t believe she would do that when he was about to fire Tarek. So he fired her instead. He told Tarek that Summer just saved his ass w/ her own stupidity. Lenny said not for long. Trump thinks Tarek is totally overrated.
In the taxi Summer said she leaves happier w/ herself than she’s ever been. She has learned she doesn’t need education in her family.
Next week Lenny & Brent cause problems for their teams. One girl says that Brent threatened her. Bill & Trump’s daughter Ivanka sit in for Carolyn & George. Next season will be filmed in L.A.
