How did the celebrities do this week? By Jacalynn West
This article is owned by <a href=”http://www.mediafiends.com/”>MediaFiends.com & may not be reproduced without permission.
The scores are cleared & it’s anyone’s game this week. The new requirement is a one-legged lunge. The theme is Motown. Jillian & John skate first to ‘Get Ready’. He lifted her a lot & she seemed very awkward. At the end he fell. Mark said they weren’t together. John said they were foolishly ambitious. Dorothy said they are the strongest team. Even though John fell, they still got decent scores. For technical John gave 8.3, Dorothy 8.4, Mark 8.4. For Artistic the scores were 8.2, 8.2. 8.3. Their total was 49.8.
Bruce & Tai skated to ‘Endless Love’. The did a “death spiral” & it was good. Dorothy said she admires Bruce & his skating skills are better. John disagreed with the other judges & thought Bruce was awkward. For Technical they got 8.2, 8.2. 8.5. For Artistic they got 8.5, 8.3, 8.4. A total of 50.1. So Jillian & John are still in last place.
Dave & Nancy skated to ‘I Just Want To Celebrate’. These 2 just want to have fun & laugh all the time. After being told last week to find his “feminine side” Dave came out dressed as a chick. It was so funny. He looked like Fred dressing up like Wilma. I didn’t see it since I was looking down taking notes, but my husband said Nancy almost fell & put her hands on the ice to keep her balance. For Technical they got 8.0, 8.2, 8.2. For Artistic they got 8.4, 8.4, 8.5, a total of 49.7 & they just fall into last place.
Kristy & Lloyd skated to ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’. When they practiced a spin, Kristy his her face on the ice. & she do so again this performance & her chin was bleeding. John said they took ambitious risks but then he totally b!tched them out cuz he brought a stopwatch & timed how long she was in the air, 20 seconds, & he said that was 22% of the routine. Give me a break. I don’t know skating but I would much rather watch the girl up in the air & so on then just the skating side-by-side crap. Mark said Kristy recovered nicely from her fall. Dorothy first asked if Kristy was ok & then said she seemed nervous. For Technical they got 7.9, 8.2, 8.3. I thought this was total crap. These 2 tried harder stuff. It might not have looked as elegant, but they tried & their marks should be higher for this category. In Artistic they got 8.2, 8.1, 8.4 – a total of 49.1 & they take last place.
Deborah & Kurt were last. They skated to ‘For Once in My Life’. Deborah struggled w/ the lunge but did do it. I don’t know what the judges’ problem is w/ this couple. I like their performance better than Jillian, who is also up in the air a lot. John said they were much improved but pair skating is not for Kurt. Right, it is only for Jillian’s partner. You take the one w/ the most experience skating pairs & team her w/ the most experienced skater. Yeah, that’s fair. Mark said they didn’t excite him. For Technical they got 7.9, 8.1, 7.9. For Artistic they got 7.9, 8.1, 8.0 – total 47.9.
Kristy & Lloyd were so funny. They thought they were going. They thought their score was 47.1 instead of 49.1. So it was only delayed an episode, Deborah & Kurt are eliminated.
