The Schroeders are eliminated in their hometown.

First they have to find the world’s largest office chair. During the drive 2 of the Godlewski sisters argue. & as usual, the Paolo Mom & son bicker. The son accused the Mom of giving him a paper cut on his neck w/ the clue. What a whiner that kid is. Now that the Aiellos are gone, now we see that the Schroeders don’t like the Weavers.

They have to go to the Talladega Sports Hall of Fame. Once there they find out they have to go to the Speedway. They have to do one lap but it is on this cool party bike thing, not a racecar. The Weavers don’t want to go since their Dad was killed at a speedway. But they suck it up & do it. The Schroeder Dad annoys his daughter by stopping the bike to raise the seat. She said every second counts.

They have to go to Hattiesburg MI & find the Southern Colonel. I thought it was funny that some people read it as “colonial”. A Bransen girl mooned the Linz car as it passed them. They stop & look in a phone book to find out where the Southern Colonel is. It is a model home lot. They have to search 37 trailers to find one of 3 departure times. Once they pick one they can’t change & they have to stay the night in that trailer.

Schroeder Dad asked a cop where Southern Colonial is & he told him the trailer park & the Dad didn’t believe him. They stop & look in a phonebook & see the cop was right. Imagine that dummy. Then he rips the page out of the phonebook. That is a huge pet peeve of mine. I hate when people do that. The Schroeder daughter starts bawling at the park cuz her Dad has cost them so much time & he also decided to take the latest of the 3 departure times even though there was one left that was 20 minutes earlier.

They have to go to Richland MI to promote BP Amoco again for the clue that tells them they have to go to the Pelican State to the State Park. They have to figure out that the Pelican State is Louisiana. The Godlewskis pass the BP & had to go back. Schroeder Dad told them to take the wrong street & cost them even more time. It then dawned on him that the Park was by his old work & he can’t believe he did that.

The Detour was Work or Play. For Work they had to use a 2-person saw & cut 4 12-inch slices. For Play they had to go on a Riverboat & win 3 rounds of 21. All 4 players had to beat the dealer. In both challenges they have to wear period costumes.

The Linzs tried 21 but it was taking too long so they went out to the logs instead. Gaghans did the same. Once completed they have to drive over the world’s longest bridge & go to New Orleans & find the Preservation Hall. The Schroeders live in NO so know exactly where to go.

The 2 Godlewski sisters bicker again & the one girl cries cuz when they get out of the car she doesn’t want to race to the mat w/out her pack. I thought it was funny that the Weaver Mom told her kids the water they were driving over was “one of the great lakes”.

The Bransens finished first & got a trip to Orlando. Paolo – 2nd. Linz – 3rd. Godlewski – 4th. Weaver – 5th. Gaghan – 6th. So the Schroeders were last so being from there was not enough advantage to make up for all the mistakes Dad made on this leg. They were Philiminated.

Next week they leave the U.S. I think they bungee jump & do something with baseball.
