The live set is designed to look like a courtroom. Trump is obviously the judge & George & Carolyn are beside him. The fired apprentices are in the jury box. Trump addressed Tana first. He said she lost control of her team. She said she didn’t. She also said her sense of humor was not portrayed. She said she learns from her mistakes. Trump told her she has an uphill battle tonight. He also mentioned how she didn’t have a US flag for Pataki. She passed the blame on to others.
Trump told Kendra that he doesn’t like crying. She said it isn’t a sign of weakness as she has seen big linebackers cry as they hoist their trophy. She got a lot of applause for that statement. Trump admitted that her cry was a nice cry.
He asked Kristen what it was like to work for Tana. She said she had never worked w/ Kendra but thought Tana did a great job & that it takes a humble person to apologize like Tana did to them.
Next was Erin. She said Kendra was amazing & inspiring. They had motivation & Kendra changed that. She said they weren’t stooges [like Tana called her team], they were valued employees. Kendra was flattered by her words.
Trump introduced Kelly & Bill & showed what projects they have been working on for him. Kelly said his military experience has helped tremendously with this job. Bill said he learned more in the last year than he probably would have in 20. Bill said to Tana that she is a good leader but she has to be able to bring out the best in people & he hasn’t seen that. Tana said she did motivate them & this wasn’t the “Tana Task” but a team thing & if she wins they all win. Trump said he still doesn’t think her team likes her very much. She said ask them & he said he will but first they had to go to break.
Trump bragged that he has 100 companies & they will have these 2 to choose from & they have to pick before knowing if they are hired or not. The first one is working with the Miss Universe Pageant by working on the bids from host cities & with private enterprises to set up the events. The other is to renovate a 68,000 square foot mansion in Palm Beach. Tana said w/out a doubt, Miss Universe. Kendra said w/out a doubt, the mansion cuz it is her home county & real estate is what she loves to do.
Trump asked Chris what his thoughts are. Chris said Tana is a good leader w/ an incredible personality but after watching the show he was disappointed w/ her lack of integrity for her team. Trump asked where is the Chris he knows cuz he is so sedate tonight. Chris said Kendra is better suited to work for Trump cuz of her real estate background. Tana said but Chris never worked w/ Kendra. Chris said he didn’t on the show but has outside. Kendra said they are moving into the Las Vegas market together.
Carolyn said they are 2 spectacular women. She doesn’t think Tana’s bad sense of humor is an excuse for how she treated her team. She said up till then Tana had been fantastic. She said Kendra deserves to be there as much as Tana & was wonderful on the last taks. But she is disappointed that she waited so long to be PM.
George said he is glad Trump has to make this decision & not him. He didn’t like the way Tana treated her team or when she had an exemption & said she didn’t have to work. But he said she has more brilliant idea & raw enthusiasm than anyone he’s knows. He said Kendra stayed under the radar a long time & then showed times of brilliance when she stepped up to the plate like on the Car task. He said she hit it out of the park on her last task. He thinks either would be a great acquisition.
Kendra does think she has an advantage cuz of her education. But she said there are 9 there who have exceeded that didn’t get a college education. She learns from her mistakes.
Tana agreed that she is at a disadvantage for not having a college education but said she is only 28 credits short & has a degree in hard knocks.
Trump asked Kendra why she let her team take credit for the car brochure? She said she is a team player & wants it to be seen as a team effort & you don’t show your weaknesses & she gives credit where credit is due even if it is something small. Tana stepped in & claimed that it was cuz of HER that the brochure was such a success cuz she suggested the shape. Oh Sweetie puh-lease. The audience wasn’t buying it either & booed her. Tana wanted Kendra to admit it & Kendra said that Tana did come up w/ the shape. Tana said that is why they loved it, don’t get her started cuz she & Craig didn’t get credit for it. She wanted to make sure Trump knew it. Kendra said it was an important element but there were many other things in that brochure as well.
Trump said they are both winners. He didn’t like the way Tana treated her team & she apologized & that is fine. He is shocked that Chris was so nice to her. He said every week but the last 2 she was a star.
Trump said Kendra knocked it out of the park the last 2 weeks. He asked Tana if she agreed & she did. Trump said he hated that Kendra cried but it was beautiful that she was crying cuz of her love for the people on her team & they loved her. He thought it was amazing what she did w/ that team & cuz of that, SHE’S HIRED.
Kendra shook everyone’s hand & then hugged the jury. Trump told her her Solstice is parked outside & then he promoted the new season next fall, his Apprentice musical on Broadway & Martha Stewart’s spin-off in the fall.
Trump & Kendra will be on ‘The Today Show’ tomorrow morning. I am thrilled Kendra won. She was clearly the one better suited for the job & Tana just made my skin crawl. I am on a roll still with Uchenna & Joyce, Tom, Naima & now this. It must mean Bo will win AI.
