The last 2 guys fight in the 1st round. Also one guy willingly quits cuz he is too chicken to fight in the next round.

After his fight, Juan is worried about the cut he got. He complained that he doesn’t heal quickly. Sugar Ray is concerned w/ Juan’s attitude. He said he expected a lot from seeing him spar but now after the fight he sees him as an amateur. Ishe thinks Juan was overyhyped.

Juan complains about being in pain. His eye & hand hurts. Joey is also hurt. He has a sore hamstring. He told us that his Dad is stationed in Afghanistan.

The fight was going to be between the last 2 fighters, Jimmy & Joey. Joey has only won 8 fights while Jimmy has won 24. Jimmy got to go see his family & have that support while Joey was alone. Jesse gave Joey a pep talk & then took him home to see his family since Joey didn’t have anyone there. To both their surprise, Joey’s Dad was there waiting. It was a very touching moment & that was the first of my tears this episode. It had been 5 months since Joey saw his Dad. He told his Dad about his hamstring & said every step hurts. He knows people think he is the easy fight but he doesn’t agree.

We were only 20 minutes into the episode when we got to the fight. No challenges or Rewards. Tommy said the odds were 20-1 against Joey. Boy did Joey prove that wrong. He came out hard & IMO, won the first 2 rounds. Then in the 3rd his leg was hurting so he basically stood there like a lame duck while Jimmy took that round & the next one. But Joey came back in the 5th & won the match.

Jimmy said Joey outhustled him. He is disappointed that he didn’t step up & seize the challenge. He did his best.

When Joey returned home he got tons of respect from all the other guys. They were proud of him.

Juan went to see the doctor. The Doctor looked him over & asked him if he wanted to continue. He doesn’t. So the doctor said then he can’t fight. It had nothing to do w/ anything physical & all about Juan’s heart. He knows the fights will be tougher & doesn’t want to lose so he is tucking his tail & running. The other fighters don’t understand what Juan is doing as they would all kill to continue on.

Sly & Sugar Ray both commend Joey on his fight. Then Sly says their reward is they will be flown by private jet to Caesar’s Palace where the million dollar bout will be.

Once there, Sly shows them a trunk filled w/ the million dollars. Then they see one of the sponsored trucks. They were all told to draw a card but not to look at it. The guy who had the Ace would win the truck. The first guy to reveal their card was Sergio & he had the Ace! Joey was happy for him considering Sergio’s background. This is the 1st car Sergio has ever owned.

Sly gathers everyone up & said that they have to replace Juan & they will vote on it. Only 5 of the 9 guys are medically able to fight – Jonathon, Ahmed, Miguel, Tarick & Jimmy. Ishe will vote for whomever fought the best. Peter wants to bring back the best & thinks that is what they did when they voted him back. Joey isn’t looking after his own interests & is going w/ the majority & thinks he knows who 3 guys will vote for. The episode ends here but in the preview for next week I saw Ahmed in the ring. Was that footage from earlier in the season? I don’t know. But I thought I would mention it.

As the credit rolled we didn’t see Sly & the rest discuss the fight & instead saw Sly give each guy $1000 to spend in Vegas.
