The show is back, again. Catch it from the beginning. It's a cross between The Amazing Race & Survivor.
No Boundaries – Episode 1

The competitors are:
Allen, 25, a medical student.
Dustin, 33, investor relations.
Eli, 25, Pre-Med Student
Ina, 27, Owner of a Fitness Company from Vancouver
Jesse, 28, Cable Installer from California.
Jill, 48, Dental Hygenist.
John, 23, Graduate Student.
Kelly, 26, Advertising Account Executive.
Kirsten, 19, Nursing Student.
Matt, 24, Youth Counselor from Oregon.
Rob, 25, Commercial Consultant from Ottawa.
Rosie, 21, Aerobics Instructor.
Sharon, 22, Marine Veteran.
Stephanie, 30, Sales Representative from Vancouver.
Todd, 53, veterinarian from Oregon.
The group will travel for 30 days across Canada to the Arctic Circle. Each leg will have a team leader. The first one is chosen by popular vote. That person is responsible to lead the group and at the end of their reign they will remove one person. The next leader is chosen by ranking. Each person lists in order who they would like to be leader. The one with the most votes wins. The ranking is important because at the end the person who has the most votes total will be the leader. There will be a new leader every 2 days. The winner gets a Ford Explorer Sport Trac and $100,000.
The show is hosted by Troy Hartman who was a stunt guy and did that stunt show on MTV. Melanie McLaren is the guide.
The group gets on a train and they are not allowed to talk to each other. They have no money or credit cards. They are at Vancouver Island at the border of Canada & the United States. They have to come up with their first leader on the train ride. Everyone introduces themselves. They discuss the leader. Todd volunteers to be first leader and they agree. *Rosie wondered if everyone was happy or if they were being fake.
They get to their first stop and Melanie gives Todd the map. They get into vehicles to drive to the next stop. *John has doubts he can do this. They drive 100 miles north to Kennedy Canyon.
Their first event is a group reward. If they win they will get equipment needed for the trip. If they don’t make it they won’t have hardly any supplies. Troy takes everyone’s watches & only the leader gets to have one. They have to hike over rock walls to get to the first event. They will have to zipline across the river on a rope.
They get to the first event. The first part of it is called the trust walk. They have to go across the river on 2 ropes. If anyone goes into the water they have to try again. They must all get across to go to the next event. Allen tried ziplining across but he goes in the water. They decide to go 2 at a time, holding hands to balance. Allen & Eli go first and make it. Ina & Stephanie are next. They make it. John and Rob also make it across. Rosie and Kirsten make it as well. Kelly & Jill fall in. They try again and fall in again. They make it on the 4th attempt. Matt and Dustin make it across. Sharon has to go by herself since they have an odd number. She has to sit on a log and pull herself across. She falls in a bunch of times. The final time Eli grabs her lifejacket and pulls her up.
The 2nd part is the tightrope. They must walk on the rope across the river and cross the orange mark. They can use another rope for balance. Then they have to jump in the cold water and swim to the next location. Sharon is shivering. Todd decides that she needs medical attention. Rob completes is and Jesse does it on his 2nd attempt. *Sharon said she was white as a ghost and was scared. Everyone else completes the task. The only way they will win their gear is if the medic says Todd made the right choice to get Sharon medical attention.
The medic said Sharon was in the early stages of hypothermia and the leader made a good decision. She is excused from the event and will join them later. They won the camping gear.
They meet up with Sharon. She hugged Todd. She cried and thanked him for making that call. They have a toast.
They drive 20 miles to Kennedy Lake to set up camp. One car discusses Todd as leader and how they don’t like that he got to be it first. They all get to camp and go to sleep.
The next morning Troy and Melanie tell them to get packed up. They drive for 40 miles and then have to hike a mile. They get to Schooner Cove. Troy tells Todd he has to pick 3 people to go with him and one of them he will remove from the group. He picks Sharon, Stephanie and Jill. He said he is basing his decision on performance. He was worried about Jill on the 3rd time she went on the wire but she made it so he won’t remove her. He knows Sharon is capable of it and thinks she had bad luck but he has no other reason to remove anyone and her performance didn’t cut it so he removes Sharon. She gets to say goodbye to the group. She tells them to have fun. *Todd said it was difficult cuz he didn’t want to end anyone’s experience there. *Sharon said she hopes everything turns out ok and no one back home thinks any less of her.
They are 150 miles into their journey. Now they have an individual reward event. At the end Todd has to pick 3 people from the winning boat to receive lighters. The twist is if any of those people are ever removed, the lighter goes with them.
They have to be divided into 2 teams and get into boats and travel over 2 miles to Lennard Island where there will be a flag for a finish line. The boats stay pretty even and near the end boat 1 decide to jump out of the boat and run on shore. Rob then jumps out of his boat & runs barefoot over oyster shells to try to get to the flag. Todd & Rob got to the boat first.
Todd decided to give the waterproof lighters to Ina, Jesse and John. Melanie asked everyone how it went around a campfire. Todd gets praised for being a good leader.
Day 3 they wake up next to a lighthouse that makes the loud noise to the ships. Today is their first official ranking. Alliances start to form. *Kelly doesn’t like the cliques. Jesse forms one with Allen, Stephanie and Ina. Rob, Rosie, Kirsten & Jill are another.
They have to put in order who they would want to be the leader down to who they least would want. The one with the most votes will be the leader. Cumulative scores will break ties and at the end the one with the most votes will be leader. *John thinks an old boys network is being established. *Jesse thinks it should be a male cuz they’re more together.
Todd is told to read the results and give his watch to the new leader. Allen is elected new leader. *Todd said he felt friction with Allen. *Allen said Todd has a distinct plan that his is a game. Todd offered his help to Allen cuz he has experience.
This show is on Mondays at 7pm CST on OLN.
