Are he & Rob still friends?

Lex has a new hairdo. It is blond with spots like a leopard.

They showed the clip of Rob stabbing Lex & Lex tells Harry this is what people watch ‘Survivor’ for. He & Rob were not on the same seasons but became friends, as many Survivors do, by meeting at charity events. They are good friends that are so close that Rob will call Lex or Lex’s wife when he is breaking up with a girl to cry on their shoulder. Rob had told him that he will take care of him if he kept Amber & he came to him as a friend, not game strategy. Lex is loyal to his friends to a fault. He would do anything for a friend, including go into a fire. He would do it again & doesn’t regret it. His friend is more important than a game.

He was devastated when Rob told him he was cutting him loose. But don’t think he didn’t try to scramble. He was broken-hearted that his friend would do that to him.

Harry asked if it ever occurred to him to cut Amber loose? Lex said it would be a very different game if he had. He would have gone into the merge with the numbers & he thinks Big Tom would have jumped on board. He did think about it. He talked about it with Kathy & Jerri since she is his good friend as well. He wasn’t sure which way he wanted to go so he left it up to Kathy. She said she thought they could trust Rob so that is the way he went. That is why Kathy was so upset & was going to give him her Immunity.

Harry said Lex looked shocked at Tribal Council when Kathy DID NOT give him Immunity. Lex said he knew he was on the block. He kept insisting to Kathy that she not give it to him. He didn’t want to stay in the game that way. She earned Immunity.

The first caller told him he played a great game. Does he think Rupert, Big Tom & others realize the control they have given to Rob? Lex would be amazed if they didn’t. He is amazed they don’t care that they are at the mercy of Rob & have put him in the driver’s seat. They have given him the game. Lex couldn’t play that way.

Next caller said they were sorry Lex didn’t win. Does he feel equally betrayed by Amber? No, he doesn’t. Rob is his close friend & Amber tried to change Rob’s mind & had a shred of honor. Rob threw honor to the wind.

The next caller had a 2-part question. How did it feel after what Jerri told him what Rob would do happened & will Jerri tell him “I told you so”? Lex said the irony wasn’t lost on him. It was brutally ironic that Jerri was his friend & he voted her out to have Rob vote him out the next TC. He knew his goose was cooked. He believes in karma & what goes around comes around. He has talked to Jerri & she doesn’t need to tell him she told him so cuz he said that to himself.

The last caller was a 9-year-old kid who asked if he will still be friends with Rob? Lex said he wishes he could say they were still friends but no. They will probably not be friends. Lex has 2 kids, 10 & 11, & even they know a deal is a deal & a promise is a promise & if you break one to a friend than they are not your friend.

Harry asked Lex if he lost sight that this is just a game? Lex said yeah. But that is easy to say that it is just a game for the people watching in their living rooms. For the players it is life. Did he lose his eye on the prize? Perhaps.
