What did they think of The Twist?

Harry Smith said it was the most shocking twist in history on ‘Survivor’. Then they cut to clips of last night’s show.

Harry asked what was their reaction when Jeff introduced the Outcasts. Shawn said he was shocked & not the happiest he’s been. He had no idea what the challenge would entail & when he found out he was disappointed. He felt he had been on the island for however many days & they hadn’t & he wasn’t sleeping & figured the Outcasts were.

Osten was confused cuz on ‘Survivor’, once you’re voted out you’re gone. Like the gas chamber, there are no returns. But he knew he just had to deal with it.

Harry said the Outcasts kicked their butts. Osten said there was no doubt he was struggling & had no chance against people fighting to get back into the game. He also figured there would be SOME chance that if he left he would come back into the game too.

Osten said he did whine & act like a two-year-old school girl. He really struggled. The first time he said he wanted to quit it was more out of frustration cuz they were losing. He only had boxers & thought he would freeze to death.

Harry asked Shawn what was his critical error. Shawn said watching the show is much different than when he was there. It is interesting watching how the tribe reacted to him & Burton together. They were just friends & it wasn’t an alliance thing. It was in his hands to boot Rupert the week before. Sandra votes the way everyone wants her to. He respects Rupert & he plays hard. Jon screwed him over with Burton (Didn’t Shawn vote out Burton too?) & this was his way to get back at him. He should have laid him out.

Harry commented how Jeff talked to Osten at Tribal Council. Osten said Jeff is a coward at times & was mad. They go to a commercial & say Osten & Shawn have agreed to stay to take viewer questions later.

The next segment talked about TV shows on DVD & they promoted that this Thursday (11/4) ‘Big Brother 3’ is out on DVD.

They come back to Shawn & Osten like a half hour later for only a 3-minute segment. The first caller asked Shawn if he regrets throwing the chess game? Shawn said that might have been some people’s decision but it wasn’t his idea & he can’t throw a challenge.

They go to the next caller who was supposed to ask Osten a question but she said she had a question for Shawn. So they hang up on her & go to the next caller who wasn’t there at first & then when they find a caller, she said she has a question for Shawn & asked why he applied knowing he would be on an island when he can’t swim & just yelled for help? Shawn & Osten laugh & there was some confusion since the question is really for Osten. Osten said he CAN swim, just isn’t a good swimmer. He was out of food & didn’t have any energy. When he was in that water he was in serious trouble cuz he was out of gas & his feet stopped moving.

Harry asked if Osten is really afraid of bugs & pelicans. Osten said pelicans carry diseases. He was nervous.

Harry asked would they do it again. Shawn said in a second. Osten laughed. Harry said Osten was miserable the second they got there. Osten said he was miserable when he found out he would be in just his boxers. He figured he would try doing the show but found out it wasn’t for him.
