I was under the impression that this was the series finale, this two-hour episode. But, no, next week is the finale! Which is also another two hours... but, hey, it's all good. Because tonight someone will be going home, and next week we will finally learn what the ultimate prize is, and what the guests must do to win it. But first, let's peek into the final seven, and watch alliances crumble, as they prepare to be whittled down to the final two couples, in an episode that has been like none other so far... Hello again, and welcome to another exciting rendition of Paradise Hotel. Our trip into Paradise begins on a stormy night, where Charla and Dave are chatting inside their room. Charla feels lucky that they've made it this far, but thinks Amy will win the ultimate prize. Speaking of Amy, who's been acting pretty strange lately, she is shown attacking Dave about his decision to send Beau home. She tells Scott not to leave the table, and insinuates that Dave said he'd rather have Scott go home than Beau. Dave makes a good point, saying that if that's what he wanted, that's what would have happened. The damage, however, has been done- Scott's trust in Dave is now a little rattled.
Keith and Tara discuss that they want to win, and that they are in a dog-eat-dog hotel. (Wait- am I watching the wrong reality show?) Charla and Dave decide to throw Tara a surprise disco night in honor of her birthday, and Dave writes (and performs) yet another song. It sounds just like the last one. But worse. Trust me.
Tara is surprised, and cheered up, as she arrives at disco night. She tells us that her mom was in a really bad car accident, and she misses her a lot, being away from her. So this made her night. She receives presents as well, some various Barbie stuff, and the guests dance and party down, with the exception of Scott, who's sick in bed. (Or just faking it because Holly's getting on his nerves??)
It appears that after the party, in the room, Keith gives Tara another "present", hee hee hee!
The next morning, Dave receives an invitation from a belly dancer inviting them all to an Arabian Nights costume ball, with Pandora's Box immediately following. All the guests receive presents, which turn out to be costumes. They all join the dancers downstairs, and dance, then take turns draping a python across their shoulders. All except Keith, that is, who's deathly afraid of snakes for some unknown reason. Funny, considering that he's got a snake tattoo from his chest to his neck! And Charla, who's appalled by Dave touching her bare skin, thinks the snake on her bare skin feels so cool. Wow, what does that say in Dave's favor? Not much!
Due to the fact that there's only seven guests left, the scenes are getting much shorter, and seconds later we join them all in a game of Pandora's Box. Amy is asked if she still wants Keith out, even though it appears to be getting better between them. Yes, she still does.
Tara- who would you send home first, Amy or Holly? Tara says Amy.
Charla- have you ever seduced any of the guys, and have you ever been turned down? This question was asked by Scott, who chuckles as he reads it. Charla answers that Scott would've been the person she tried to seduce, and yes, she was turned down.
Dave is asked about sending Beau home, and he responds that he did that so the other guys would have his back. Okay, but, since it's down to three guys, I think they're gonna be a little more worried about themselves first, Dave! Keith interrupts and asked Scott if he thought that Dave considered sending Keith home, and Scott says no. Dave counters that by saying that it had crossed his mind to eliminate Keith, which shocks the guests, and gets the wheels in Keith's head turning. And not in the good way.
Keith then gets asked if it would be as easy for him to eliminate Dave as it was to get rid of Zack. He says hell yeah, if it was the end of the game.
Later, Keith and Tara talk about what was said, and Tara affirms that she couldn't take out Charla, but Dave shocked her. Dave talks to Keith later, and swears that he would never take Keith out, and he was just saying that in front of everyone to throw the remaining guests off track. Keith says again that he's just here to win the f*ing game.
"When Good Pranks Go Bad"
The next morning, the ladies get the customary pack-up letter. Keith is showering and singing "Taa-rraaa!" over and over, and Tara throws something over the rail, hitting Keith. She runs out of the bathroom, laughing, and runs back in, slips, and falls on the bathroom floor, smacking her head on the tile. Ouch! She's okay, though. At least as far as we can tell! But she does demonstrate higher levels of clarity throughout the rest of the show, so maybe that was a good thing, kinda knocked some pieces together in her head.
Charla and Tara are in the main area later, discussing how it's not the "Walk of Shame", it's the "Walk of Freedom", and they decide to practice the walk. They take turns imitating Amanda's Australian accent, sending the other one out of Paradise "forever", and flounce down the walkway. Dave gets mad at Charla for practicing the walk, but it's really pretty funny.
Scott doesn't want Amy to go, and he notes that all the ladies are pretty worried. Amy is crying, and she says that she just wants someone who deserves it to win, either her or maybe Dave.
Tara tells Charla later that she knows her question in Pandora's Box was written by Dave, in an attempt to turn Amy more against her that Charla. Charla can't disagree, since Tara's probably right. Dave’s is starting to show his devious side, piece by piece!
Scott and Holly continue to be snappy with each other, to the point where Scott leaves the room due to lack of [decent] conversation.
Dave thinks that Keith would send him home. He might, only tonight one of the LADIES are going home! Focus, Dave!
Elimination time, the last roommate selection, and Amy goes first. She picks...
Commercial! Dammit, man! Okay, I'll spare you...
Amy picks Keith. Amanda asks, "why why why?" Amy says that she remembers being in Keith's position; only she didn't have a choice. Now it's reversed, only Keith still has the choice. She tells us in voiceover that she knew she could've picked Scott, and he probably would have picked her, but she didn't want him to have to choose between her and Holly. Which, judging by the look Scott gave Amy when she went to Keith, I think he would've dropped Holly and gone the rest of the way with Amy, easily. And that's really how I would've liked to see it play out. Oh well...
Charla picks Dave, Tara picks Keith, and Holly picks Scott. Keith, of course, picks Tara, but mentions that he really didn't want to have to see Amy go. Amy seems okay with his decision, and notes that things have gone downhill for her anyways, and they treat us to a montage of Amy's Greatest Memories, all which include Zack. Her parting words, coincidentally, are "I love Zack".
Amanda informs the six remaining guests that one person will have the power to force out a couple, when Paradise Hotel returns.
After elimination, the guests get invitations to go on an all day all night excursion, beginning at 7 am the next morning.
The guests chat as they prepare for bed. Keith notes that everyone who vowed to get him out is gone now, and he likes that. Charla tells Dave he's confident, and Dave responds that it is a cautious confidence. Tara tells Keith that now, it's "us against them", and Keith decides to talk to Scott. Keith tells Scott that he's never lied to him, and Scott sees what's going on, he's not stupid. Keith is obviously trying to make sure that he's safe no matter who gets the "Power", and Scott's no idiot. Dave walks up at the end of the conversation, and Keith walks away with him. Dave wants to have a conversation, like the one that Keith and Scott just had. Keith assures Dave that "it's all about" their foursome. But both guys are acting a bit suspicious. Some serious shadiness going on here!
Holly hopes they are all getting separate excursions, and Scott tells her that her job is to take out the Barbies.
They go to commercial break, and two minutes later, return to the show, somehow finding it necessary to recap everything we've just seen, complete with new, shorter credits, showing the guests as couples. This must be for those who missed the first hour, because I can remember what I just watched FIVE MINUTES AGO.
The guests all leave for their excursions, and surprise, Holly, you all get separate cars. Scott ends up on a boat with Tara, and Keith and Charla end up together, leaving Holly with Dave. Interesting. Dave tries his best to charm Holly by pointing to their seafood and telling her that oysters are aphrodisiacs. She tells him they are eating mussels. They both have a big laugh, and deduce that they got put together because they both like to drink at 7 in the morning. Eventually, the topic of the game comes up, and Dave notes that Keith will do anything to win, and assures Holly that she has nothing to worry about (wink, wink).
Keith and Charla dance around and play fight for a bit, then get massages and full body wraps. They, too, chat about strategy, and Keith voices his concern that he needs to know who's on his team. Tara and Scott pretty much just try to sail the boat.
Everyone leaves, once again in different directions, and end up in what looks like different hotel rooms. Charla and Scott are together, Dave and Tara are paired up, and Keith and Holly spend the evening screaming at each other about Dave being trustworthy. Holly's convinced Dave will save her and Scott, while Keith tries to prove otherwise.
After a restless evening, all return to find an invitation to the final Pandora's Box waiting for them, with the added note that one couple would be checking out TONIGHT. FOREVER. And one guest will have to sole power in deciding who that couple is.
Keith and Dave have a heated discussion about Dave telling Scott that he and Keith are already an alliance. Dave won't bring that up; he refuses to jeopardize his position in the game. Keith tells him he just f*'d him and Tara.
Holly tells Scott that Dave said not to worry, and Scott thinks Dave is being shady. Scott calls Keith, who decides to come over and talk in person. Scott tells Keith what Dave said to Holly about being safe, which makes Keith mad. He goes back to Dave, confronting him with this, and declares that Dave sold him out. Dave flusters that Scott's had his back for a while, and Keith asks why he lied to Scott. Dave hems and haws, and finally only can say that he can't have this conversation right now. He leaves the table in an obvious attempt to sidestep through his web of lies.
At the final Pandora's Box, the questions fly. Holly- do you still consider Tara to be your rival (as per the 2 allies/one rival question each had to answer)? Holly says right now, both girls are her equal rivals.
Charla is asked why she's been quieter lately with her opinions, to which she answers that she's always been quiet, and that she's not sending Tara home, so it would obviously be Scott and Holly.
Keith is asked if his trust in Dave has changed in the last few days, and he says he hopes it's not an issue.
Scott- why do you trust more, Charla or Tara? Scott says neither girl has given him reason not to, but since he's known her longer, probably Charla.
Scott asks Dave if it is up to the guests, why should they give him the power? Dave says they shouldn't, and he doesn't really want it anyways. Definitely a first for Dave, turning down the POWER!
Amanda comes out, and announces that they will indeed be selecting the person who will hold the power to send home a couple, and they have an hour to decide.
Scott and Holly tell Keith that they're going to vote for Keith, and Keith admits that he doesn't know what he'd do yet. Scott tells him that it's his time to take a stand, and since Dave hasn't been honest, this is Keith's chance to make things right. Keith still has to talk to Tara, and to Dave and Charla.
Dave mopes in the room, and tells Charla he feels rejected. Charla plays dumb, and acts like she doesn't understand why, but clearly it's due to Dave's crush on her. Charla assures him that she's projected nothing but friendship.
The four remaining all decide to confront Dave together, even though Scott knows he'll just skeet around the issue. They fire off questions, to which Dave has no response, and keeps backing himself into corners, trying to keep his stories straight. Charla asks why tell the lies in the first place, and Dave can't even answer that one. Damn, Dave's cracking! He's losing it!
Tara asks why he told Holly he didn't have a #2, and he says because he doesn't, when clearly from the beginning, Tara was Dave's #2, and Charla was Keith's. Dave stammers that he made no promises, and finally explodes and screams that Keith should know better and that Dave was not going to vote him out.
And now, their hour's up. Time for vote off.
Everyone takes their place, each as couples, and the voting for Power-holder commences. Keith and Tara vote for Charla, but everyone else votes for Keith. He stands next to Amanda, and prepares to makes his decision, claiming that he still doesn't know what he will do. But it is decision time. And the couple that will be going home will be...
"NEXT WEEK, ON PARADISE HOTEL..."
WHAT??!?! Dammit man, it's not supposed to end like that! We don't get to find out for a week? Believe me, I'm just as frustrated by this as you are, if not more, because I had to sit through two episodes, and only got to see one person go home! I guess we'll all have to tune in next week to see who the final two are, and then who the final winners are of whatever the hell they're getting from Fox. Well, okay, YOU don't have to tune in, I'll do it for you! Until then...
