In a short segment where the three annoying hosts talk over each other as well as their guest, I'm left wondering why the hell this show is on. Oh yeah, Randy manages to get in a few words about AI.

Randy settles in behind the desk with his usual "dawg" greetings for everyone. Jillian pokes fun at him for it and Randy responds with his automatic "I've been saying this for years" blurb. The three stooges/hosts go off about how Randy & Jillian live in an area they call "Black Hollywood". Let the name-dropping begin. I stopped listening at Vivica A. Fox. Finally someone realizes that nobody cares and they move on to AI talk.
There's no way I can really recount the conversation since it was so poorly done, so I'll just fill you in on what Randy had to say.
- When he told Ruben that he already won the competition, Randy meant that he's already a winner.
- He called Trenyce & Kimberley "dark horses" and said that although Trenyce came up strong last night and "did her thang", Ruben, Clay & Kimberley are still the big three.
- Randy thinks that Ruben & Clay are "so comfortable" onstage, but the sign of a true professional performer is that they can step it up a notch, and we've seen Trenyce & Kimberly do that. (I personally think Clay stepped it up last night as well, but Randy left that detail out.)
- Neil Sedaka was teary-eyed during Clay's performance of "Solitaire" last night. Randy said that Neil was definitely touched by it.
- While Randy & Simon weren't close last year, this year they hang out "a lot", along with Ryan Seacrest. He says the three of them are friends and "agree to disagree". (Comments about his feelings regarding Paula were conspicuously absent.)
- Randy thinks that Simon throws insults at Paula "in fun" but sometimes crosses the line. He says that Simon instructs Paula to make her comments "interesting".
- It's Randy's opinion that Ruben is about charisma, not his size. He also thinks that Kelly Clarkson looks good the way she is. (He made a comment about her butt looking good, but that was brought on by Jillian Barberie talking about it first, so don't flame me about taking things out of context.)
As the segment ended, he told the hosts that regarding tonight's boot, "It's got to be Josh. It's got to be Josh."
