Here we are back again waiting for our sixth installment of the Survivor Series. I am not sure if I am dreading it or anticipating it. On one hand the show is highly entertaining but on the other hand, it starts getting on my nerves toward the middle of each Series.

So we begin. Jeff explains all the wild animals that are lurking in the Amazon and announces that we have 16 idiots, um I mean, castaways. He tells them that when he calls their name, to please get into the boat. It becomes apparent that the teams will be divided men against women. Deena says that she is excited that it is all women. Roger thinks that it is pathetic because women are weaker. Daniel the dork says that there is no way the women can beat them. Jenna says that the men are all cocky and saying that there is no way they are ever going to a tribal council.
The two tribal names are Jaburu for the women and Tambaqui for the men. Jaburu means bird and the women will wear yellow buffs. Tambaqui means fish and the men will wear blue buffs.
Ryan says that this sucks because he had his plan of action all figured out and with this twist he realizes his plan will not work.
Jenna says that being with seven other women is her worst nightmare because she could at least flirt and manipulate the men whereas she can not do this with the women.
Ryan says that women are basically only good to look at. I have this urge to push my fist through the television set but I have to keep reminding myself that this will only hurt me not him.
The men get to their camp and discover a box full of supplies. They receive kerosene, fish hooks, flint, 5 gallons of water and some kind of flour. They also have a mystery box that says they can not open it yet.
The girls finally get to their camp and Christy tells the other girls that she is deaf but can read lips so talk to her and talk slowly. She also does not want the men to know she is deaf. Jenna is not happy about this revelation and states that she is not sure this will work.
The guys start trying to build lodging. They have already started their fire. The girls are having major issues with their fire.
Rob thinks that the women are probably having a lot of problems and called their camp the Camp Vagina Monologue.
The girls are sitting around the fire chatting and Christy is upset because now that it is dark she can not see their lips so she does not know what they are saying. Okay, I have no issues with people who have handicaps. Heck, I would be the first person to be unanimously voted off the island by everyone including myself if I ever went on this show. Knowing that I do not like dirt, hate not being able to shower etc would make me a very weak link. Therefore I do NOT go on this show. I am having major issues trying to dredge up some sympathy for this girl. I just do not have any. Sorry.
Rob says that Roger is bossy especially to the younger guys. Roger says that Ryan and Daniel are not contributing and are useless.
Alex thinks that their lodging is so cool that Home and Gardens will be over to take a picture of it.
Rob says that the girls are probably all crying and miserable and unable to build their own shelter.
Jeanne says that the girls are an embarrassment because they are not together at all. Deena is mad that people are wasting time and water washing buffs when they could be building their shelter.
Janet is real sick. I personally think she is dehydrated based on her symptoms but what do I know. She says that she planned on this being tough physically but not as brutal as it is.
One of the guys brought the Magic 8 Ball as his luxury item. The rule is they can not ask the 8 Ball any questions with regards to winning a challenge because if the 8 Ball is right, then they will be freaked out and if it is wrong, then they will know it is a sham and he wants to keep the allure of mystery about it. The guys all have the hots for Shawna, Heidi and Jenna. They spend some time asking the 8 Ball questions about those girls. Too bad the 8 Ball can not tell them that they are all LOSERS.
Jeanne and Joanne go fishing and only catch a small amount of bait. They try fishing with the bait and only catch a tiny fish. They bring it back and each person gets a bit of fish and everyone thinks it is like eating throw up. This analogy still makes me a tad queasy.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE -
Jeff asks them how they are doing. He asks them if they caught any fish and the guys say they have caught tons. The girls do not believe them and say they have caught some fish. He then tells them that they will be chained together in their group. They will have to make their way through an obstacle course that will allow them to pick up keys. As they get keys they will be able to unlock themselves in groups. The first group to finish the obstacle course and unlock each person wins immunity.
At first the guys are way ahead because the girls are having trouble with a puzzle. Then all of the sudden the balance beam obstacle comes up. Ryan and Daniel are having major difficulties with the balance beam and the girls fly by them. Now they are dead even. Then a jigsaw type puzzle comes up and the guys are acting like they are mentally retarded. The girls win immunity.
Butch says the guys entered the event too cocky.
Dave stands up and asks for a moment of their time. He tells them that they were too cocky and that they lied about how much fish they caught and that he does not want to get caught up into their bullsh!t. Rob says that Dave is a stand up guy because he will not lie and that works for Rob. Daniel wants to know who the hell Dave thought he was fussing at them like that. Ryan is mad because his @ss is in the stove because of Daniel.
Roger is trying to get Dave to vote Ryan out but Dave will not take part in that but can foresee voting Daniel out.
Matthew says that there is friction between Ryan and Roger. Ryan is trying to get everyone to vote Roger out because he thinks Roger will start targeting the younger guys. Rob says that Ryan is fun but also loud, abrasive, self-centered. He says that Roger is bossy.
TRIBAL COUNCIL -
Jeff tells the guys that this must be very humbling.
Roger says that they got beat not mentally like they thought but physically.
Jeff says no, you got beat all around. He tells Daniel that he made too many statements about how they will not be losing any challenges.
Daniel says that he was too cocky and that it was his fault they were sitting there now. They lost the battle but not the war.
Jeff asks them about the girls and they all start talking about how hot they think some of them are.
Jeff tells them that they could be in some serious trouble because they want to hook up with the girls and they are talking a lot of smack.
They vote and Ryan is the first voted of the island. He received 4 votes, Roger received 3 votes and Daniel received 1 vote.
