The final round of auditions before Hollywood

The final auditions are in Atlanta & Nashville. Atlanta is first. 6500 people try out. Paula isn't there so people will get honest opinions. Simon tells the crowd he isn't in a good mood & they will be judged on everything; voice, clothing,how they walk in & how they react to positive or negative criticism.
Nickie Niholson is first. Randy liked it & said it was a tough song (Lady Marmalade). She makes it to Hollywood. Jessica Cox also makes it & tells the crowd it wasn't bad & they should be themselves.
Johnny Ly said he is a superstar. Simon said the song was his favorite but wasn't with him singing it.
Omega Morris dances around a lot while she sings. Simon said he would pay her to stop & she is exhausting to watch. He said she is over-the-top. Randy said singing is not for her. She disagreed & said she will make it to Hollywood & get her own show & they can come on & she will tell them what she thinks.
Clay Aiken is next & Simon said he is very good. Randy agreed & he will go to Hollywood. They want him to work on his style though.
We see a bunch of people pissed off that they didn't make it. Joshua Reece performs. Simon said he can do cabaret on a boat but not do pop. Randy told him to keep working on it. The guy goes in the hall & Simon walks out & the guy argues with him over his perceived talent.
Maria Ward sang a song she wrote. One line said you could stick forever up your @ss. Simon said that was beautiful & could be a hit or even the 'American Idol' theme song. (He's being sarcastic.) She does go through to Hollywood.
Mitchell Asa is wearing a funky shirt with see-through sleeves. Of course Simon calls him on it & said it is one of the worst shirts he's seen & the guy should give it back to Ryan. Simon does like his voice. Randy said it's excellent. The guy goes on to Hollywood. Ryan does put the shirt on.
Joshua Strickland has hair like Ryan. Simon said he looks great & sings well but he needs to find a good role model & not Ryan.
Vanessa Olivarez does 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Simon stops her cuz he doesn't want to listen to the whole 6 minutes. (Not cuz she's bad. He's making a joke about the length of the song.) Randy is impressed with her. She goes to Hollywood.
We see people who have a bunch of different wacky images. Then the wackiest of them all. Keith grew out his hair (mullet) & lost 15 pounds for this. He said he is entertaining & unique. He does 'Like A Virgin'. It is awful. Simon laughs & Randy tries to hide his face. Simon asked him to do another song. He does 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' & it sounds exactly like the last one. Simon said he told someone last season they are the worst singer in America & now he has found the worst guy in the world. Randy said he's horrific. Keith said he doesn't think he's the best, but good. Randy asked what else does he like to do. He said dance. Randy told him to get into that instead.
We see a bunch of people all excited about making it. Then a bunch who over sing. & some who forget the words. Simon tells a guy he's terrible & the guy didn't agree. A lot of people walk the wrong way after being told they didn't make it.
Stephanie Shultz is next. Randy really loved her look & said she's incredibly attractive. Simon said she would make a good pop star. She goes to Hollywood.
46 go to Hollywood from Atlanta. That is a record number.
Ryan asked an 8-year-old how old does she think he is. She guessed 27. Ryan is surprised she got it right. He said but he LOOKS 23, right? She said he looks 27. Ryan said he doesn't like her anymore & walked away.
They move to Nashville & Paula has made this trip. Simon rubbed her back for her. First singer is Edwin Naeger & he grabbed Paula's cup & drank out of it. He brought his cd's & autographed them for the judges. He isn't wearing shoes. He thinks Simon is sexy & wants to give him a kiss. Simon made fun of the guy's outfit. The guy did not make it.
We see a bunch of more bad auditions. One guy just sang 'I love you' over & over.
Ruben Stoddard is next. Paula said he has a very nice voice. Everyone agreed & he goes to Hollywood.
A 5-year-old goes in. His name is Ira Lewis, Jr. He sang 'Let's Get It On'. Paula said it was so good. Simon said he didn't like it. The boy goes out & tells Ryan the caucasion didn't like it but the brown dude did.
Alden Wynn is next. Simon said it was very, very good. He goes to Hollywood.
There is hardly anyone there that is actually FROM Nashville. Amber Allen is & Simon told her she was horrible. Jeff Woodard is also from there & he forgot the words to the song. Simon said he can't sing & should do other things.
Corey Clark auditioned & Randy said he is good. Paula said he is star quality. She liked him a lot. Simon said he has a good recording voice & the only thing he has similar to Justin Guarini is his hair.
A lot of the guys are making it & the girls aren't.
Kellee Renee Ranson is next. Simon said she is good. Paula said it was very nice. Simon said hse has a good personality. She goes to Hollywood.
We see people celebrating making it & some wacky outfits. One guy turns around & we hear a zipper. It was his vest.
Kimberly Locke is next. Simon said she has a great voice. Randy said she had such control. Paula said she is very confident. Simon said there will be 2 groups in Hollywood & her group is vocals over image. She goes to Hollywood.
Ricky Smith is the last one. Paula asked him his age. He said 22. She said he has a nice voice but looks much older. Simon said he has a really good voice & it's one of the top 5% they've heard. Randy said he needs to dress younger. He goes to Hollywood. Ricky celebrates by doing the Eddie Murphy 'Hercules, Hercules.'
29 made it to Hollywood. That makes 234 total tomorrow night to begin a 4 day audition process. It is on at 7:30pm CST for 90 minutes on FOX.
